Dr. Ashraf Khan held the post of Professor and Director of the Taxila Institute of Archaeology and Civilizations at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, Dr. Khan teaches at the institute as a visiting faculty member and co-supervises PhD students.

Dr. Ghani-ur-Rahman holds a PhD from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Italy, and is a renowned scholar in the field of Gandhāra Art. He has been serving as the Director of the Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations (TIAC) at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, since 2016.

Dr. Elisa Iori is an Assistant Professor in Archaeology and Art History of Central Asia and India at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She is an archaeologist specialized in urban archaeology and archaeology of religions in the Indo-Iranian region.

Dr. Stefan Baums teaches Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pāli, and South Asian Buddhism at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich; he also leads the Buddhist Manuscripts from Gandhāra project at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. His research focuses on Gāndhārī manuscripts, Buddhist philology, and epigraphy, and the beginnings of written Buddhist literature.

Dr. Luca M. Olivieri is an Associate Professor of Archaeology and Cultures of Gandhāra and the Silk Roads at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He has worked in Swat since 1987 and received Pakistan’s third-highest honour and civilian award in 2016.
